Meet me

Colin Cadle

My career as a pilot started on Jet Provosts at the Royal Air Force College Cranwell and ended flying Wessex search and rescue helicopters in the Gulf, but my future lay not up in the air but firmly back on the ground...

When I was seven Dad gave me his wartime Kodak 'Bullet' camera but many years later a chance introduction to Julie Andrews' husband film producer Blake Edwards in 1976 really kicked off my passion for photography after he invited me onto the set of the Peter Sellers' classic "The Pink Panther Strikes Again" at Shepperton Studios. Stills photographer David Farrell further fired my enthusiasm when, during a break in filming, I was offered a short photo shoot with leading fashion model and actress Maud Adams. From that moment on photography has played a major part in my life.

Now based in Stoke Gabriel on the River Dart in Devon I shoot mainly architectural and interiors but living in one of the most beautiful parts of the country also gives me a great opportunity to record South Devon’s rich and diverse landscape and the people who live and visit there to build a small but growing Devon image library.

I am regularly commissioned to work for leading estate agents, developers and businesses in Tor Bay and the South Hams producing images for advertising and marketing.

My aim is to give pleasure through the images I create.
